Dangers of antifreeze

26 May 2005

"Many of us know about the dangers of anti-freeze, but I have just received this shocking email from a lady who had one of my Kinda's first litter a few years ago.

"We have had a horrible accident and Rula had to be euthenaised on Monday. We are absolutely heartbroken. She went into the garage and you know how naughty she was she had to inspect everything and she was also very clumsy. Anyway what she must have done is jumped up on the shelves and knocked down some anti-freese. The lid remained on but some of the anti freese seeped out and went onto her coat and she clearly licked it off. "

We kept in touch with these people and even used to go in and look after their cats when they went on holiday each year when we lived down South.

I am so shocked and gutted, Rula (Ayshazen Amarula) was a beautiful girl and I know she will be terribly missed not just by us, but by Mary and Kahang, her devoted slaves, and also Tikus, her companion.

Please pass this warning on to your kitten owners, antifreeze tastes sweet and cats will happily lick it, it also kills.
