Dangerous toys

Whenever I went shopping if I wanted to treat my kitties to a new toy I would get them a plastic mouse. These mice are covered with fur and have feathers on the tail; I also suspect they have catnip inside.

Anyway about a week ago I noticed "Betty" who was always the first to the food dish was disinterested. I tried to entice her with all kinds of good smelling things but she was just turning her nose up at everything.

She was drinking lots of water but refusing food. I became concerned when I noticed she seemed lighter than the other kitties.I took her to the vet and she took x-rays. It appeared she had a blockage and also lots of stool built up.The vet gave her vitalax to help clear her and nutripet to try to keep her strength because she wasn't eating.

There were still no results after 2 days so we went back to the vet and had more x-rays done. The blockage had now moved but was still not gone.

Today she underwent an operation to help unblock her.═ They had to cut part of her intestine away and re-attach it. What they found was half a plastic mouse.

She is now in recovery and doing fine. She will come home tomorrow.

Be very careful what you give your kitties to play with.═ We could have lost her all due to a piece of plastic".
